PROLIGHTS products took part in the new interactive installation “Top of Europe” at the Jungfraujoch railway station, the highest in Europe, perched at 3454 meters above sea level. Tasked by Jungfrau Railways, Jungfraubahn Holding AG, the installation aims to make the station more engaging for travelers.
iart handled the installation planning and lighting design, with PlusMusic, Prolights’ distributor in Switzerland, providing the lighting products. The final choice includes 18 PROLIGHTS projectors: 10 Mosaico L for image and gobo projections and 8 StudioCob PlucFC for color projections.
The installation’s centerpiece is a metal curtain made up of multilayer chains, designed to give the location a new look. Stretching over 30 meters, the curtain creates an interactive path between the train platform and the viewing platform.
The curtain is illuminated by StudioCobs and Mosaico L, simulating dawn as the train arrives and guiding travelers toward the mountain panorama. During departure, as travelers return to the platform, the setting transforms into an evening atmosphere.
The Mosaico L projectors with gobo projections offer interactive zones for travelers to take fun or suggestive photos, to share online and create memories.
Furthermore, during specific periods like summer or Christmas, the installation becomes thematic, with suitable music, lights, and projections, enhancing the visit experience.
